THE IRON FUCKING BULL (
2015-06-06 10:29 pm (UTC)
Sometimes Bull thinks Krem mighta saved his life a bit. Not in the leaping in front of a speeding bullet way, but there was definitely a time during his first year or so in the human world that it all got a bit too much. Everything was overwhelmingly different from what he'd grown up with, and Bull hid it well but that was a struggle. Even being as adaptive as he is, he couldn't help wondering if he was straying too far from the precepts of the Qun. And then what? Without the Qun, who the hell was he?
These were the kind of questions he dared to ask Krem, though not ever as overtly as that, since he knows the Ben-Hassrath monitor his email and forum use. No, Bull would frame it all philosophical-like, removed from his own situation, and let thre kid provide calming insight. And he gave back his fair share of advice himself. That was how they "met" — Bull tended to reach out to troubled people online, a mothering instinct left over from his childhood role as a second caregiver to his peers. If he had his own choice, he kinda thinks that's what he'd do with his life, make a career outta it... but the Qun has another path for him.
Right now that's carried him all the way to the airport to meet Krem for the first time all over again, but this time in person. He's not the kind of guy who gets nervous, worries about people liking him, but he sure ain't calm, fidgeting a little as he waits. Rattling the pair of bike helmets slung on a strap over his shoulder. No sign, because Bull is head and shoulders above everyone else standing at the terminal exit, and he's got those great big horns to boot: it's gonna be harder
to spot him.
